Senior Proposal Manager

Job Description 

This position will report directly to our Director Sales Strategy. This is a highly visible role within the organization, working with a broad spectrum of company staff. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify sales opportunities by leveraging procurement tools and websites to be alerted of new RFI/RFP’s. 

  • Perform initial triage of RFP’s and organizing the team with a synopsis of the opportunity.  

Manage the RFP Response process which includes the following:  
  • Conduct kickoff calls. 

  • Developing a project schedule.  

  • Breaking down RFP’s into tasks and assignments. 

  • Working with team members to complete all areas of the response.  

  • Perform final review and submission of RFP. 

  • Responding to services RFP’s including implementations, projects and staff augmentation.  

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand the competition and proactively strategize win themes.

  • Craft new content as necessary.

  • Create and maintain RFP repository of generic templates. 

  • Tracking performance of RFP submissions (wins, losses, down selections). 

  • Manage creation and accessibility of reusable content. 

  • Execute established sole source strategy in coordination with sales team. 

  • Enhance operating tasks within overall pursuit sprints as it relates to sole source and public procurements. 

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in scheduling and correspondence. 

  • Develop and maintain RFP templates. 

Required Skills 

  • Leverage AI tools to draft content, conduct research and analyze RFPs. 

  • Public sector experience. 

  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to track submission requirements with accuracy and precision. 

  • Have an eye for continuous improvement. 

  • Assertive nature. 

  • Ability to own mistakes and self-correct. Willingness to conduct formal and informal post-mortems as needed. 

  • Excellent communication skills including knowing when to over communicate as needed. 

  • Customer focused, solution-oriented, initiative driven. 

  • Ability to lead tasks to completion and recap/escalate when necessary. 

  • 5+ years managing similar tasks. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication, strong presentation experience. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Teams, Copilot, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint). 

  • Expert level experience in Microsoft Word.
